In my free time, (n)ever so often, I get the urge to bring people together by way of events and thematic posts online.
Play being at the core of both activities - the idea is to allow the excess creative energy inside me free flow :)

Our goal with these spaces is to encourage people to cross collaborate across disciplines - understand each others craft better and become better informed collaborators.
We are hoping to bring out a healthy spirit of critique and debate amongst folks in the city. This should in the long run spark the culture of pushing beyond what is expected and reach out for more!
Our group is intentionally growing at a slow pace as we want to ensure that we build a tight network :)
About a year ago, I gathered a few fellow designers to co-host events and bring Hyderabad’s creative community together. Since the city is largely driven by tech and pharma, creative spaces are limited, and many creatives work in silos—rarely meeting up or exchanging notes on what the industry needs.
Keeping this in mind we started to put together co-working spaces. We later built on the idea and created workshop spaces labeled Niche & Nerdy as well as Open Studio Day spaces. Apart from this we put together Work in Progress; a space for people to bring any unfinished projects and work on it together. Finally, the most event we’re co-hosting is called drink and debate - to creatively debate on different themes!

Thilaka on Instagram: "every system of a country has a set of stakeholders. I've put forth a few in the smol animation above, in the hierarchical manner at which things are functioning right now. the government and investors in many countries are hidden away from the suffering that every employee, every supplier, every consumer and every member of diverse communities have suffered. in an ideal world the communities, consumers, suppliers and employees will be at the centre of the system. but for an ideal world we have to step up our game and ask for what is rightly ours. if there's anything 2021 has taught us, it's that we have it in us to help each other without support from the systems in place. of course it hasn't been fool proof, but it has helped millions. maybe all we need to do is continue down this road and learn to be truly self reliant. on that note please don't forget to take care of yourself. you're all awesome lil beans. love, light and virtual hugs 💜 font: Gotu by Ek Type music: Mystery Lady by Don Toliver & Masego"
The post linked above is to provoke thought about societal structures, groups and hierarchies that we have created in this capitalistic society and system.
Below you will find an array of short animations that I put together based on what I was feeling about political issues, etc or even about my thoughts on my personal growth in life then.
Hope you enjoy browsing through them!

Thilaka on Instagram: "future // ഭാവി (bhāvi) tl;dr things are tatti now, but we'll through this, youth everywhere is tip top, we all got each other's back, umma @ all i consume content on social media every few hours on a daily basis. we all do. idk about you but I know it makes me anxious and weary about the future. there's uncertainty about so many things. uncertainty used to excite me. now? not so much. not much at all. days pass, i laugh, i want to cry, i want to help people. i do push myself to stay positive everyday. the point of the rant is, I know lots of you might be feeling the same way. it's not easy to stay motivated all the time. i can feel the list of things I'm pissed off about increasing as each day passes. BUT, the youth of this country (and worldwide) gives me so much hope, it's all I need to get out of bed and push myself on a bad day. having said that, my heart goes out to the people suffering from human right violations, weather catastrophes(plis donate monies if you can, dm for deets), injustices, or even if it's just stress of living life, even if it's nothing. seek help if you need to, even if it's a non issue in your head, just talk to someone, god knows we all need it. it's all going to shit now, but this too shall pass (right?). anywho, as always, love, light and thilda-bear hugs to all 💜 p.s. if you're interested in helping out on a project to launch a 'vent box' for india plis reach out. music: love on the brain - rihanna"
Thilaka on Instagram: "Thoughts 15•11•20; These past few months have highlighted the need for consistent and rigorous climate action, the urgent necessity to address social justice across all spheres of society and how everything ties into pushing for deep rooted systemic change. Consuming information on the above and trying to figure out where you can fit in can cause anxiety and be a constant strain on one's mental health. At the end of the day, just know that you have so much more power to manifest change than you think you do, life will be tough but the universe is working in all our favour in some way or the other. You're never alone, and things always have potential to become better, lots of love, Thils 💜 (P.S. this is my optimistic worldview to ease the doom and gloom feel that's going around) Music: The End (Sound effect) - Ende sounds by BerlinAtmospheres (YouTube) Font: Agrandir by @pangram.pangram"

Thilaka on Instagram: "incredible india. Sovereign means the constitutional independence of a state.... The state can be federal, confederal or unitary. However, all states have rules for distinguishing officers of the state from ordinary citizens and all states therefore have rules for wielding political power. The word socialist was added to the Preamble of the Indian Constitution by the 42nd amendment act of 1976, during the Emergency. It implies social and economic equality. Social equality in this context means the absence of discrimination on the grounds only of caste, colour, creed, sex, or language. Secularism in India means equal treatment of all religions by the state. The term Democratic indicates that the Constitution has established a form of government that gets its authority from the will of the people expressed in an election. The Preamble resolves India to be a democratic country. That means the supreme power lies with the people. let that sink in.
